General Rules
//ALL VIDEO EDITING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTESTANT. WHAT YOU SUBMIT IS WHAT WILL BE SHOWN//
Eligibility: To compete for “Best in Show,” a dog must first win in one of the qualifying categories.
Judging Criteria: The dog is judged based on its overall appearance, health, and adherence to the breed standards as listed by the ADBA. Scars may be present, but the dog should not have fresh wounds.
Video Submission: A video showcasing the dog is required. For adult dogs, this includes a frontal photo, a side shot, and a walking clip, all within a 2-minute maximum duration. The video should highlight the dog’s best attributes.
Digital Number: Upon submission, you will receive a three-digit digital number. This number represents the order in which your submission was received and is used for identification during the competition.
Entry into Multiple Competitions: If you wish to enter your dog into multiple competitions, including “Best in Show,” make sure to state this clearly in your submission.
Remember, the goal of the “Best in Show” category is to highlight the exemplary characteristics of the American Pitbull Terrier. Winning this prestigious category means that the dog not only excels in its own class but also stands out among all the class winners as the best representation of the breed at the event. General rules are the basic set of guidelines used to set up an allow individuals to compete in an Internet-based dog competition. For this year‘s rules, we are keeping them as simple as possible while ensuring each dog has the ability to be seen in a great and positive manner. This will be an annual dog show and is developing a growth is directly correlated with your involvement and feedback. Thank you!
Adult dog guidance
1.1 adult dogs must be over the age of 12 months and be in good health. Dogs may show signs of scars, but should not be directly injured or have fresh wounds
Teeth need to be shown.
1.2 all dogs will have a minimum 30 second with maximum 2 minutes video clip consisting of one photo frontal, one side shot and a walking clip of a dog. (The more you show in you time slot the better chances of success).
1.3 footage that goes beyond the 2 minutes allowed is not admissible, and therefore will not be shown in your respective numbered slot
Puppy and fun class guidance
2.1 all submissions for a puppy a fun classes have no specific criteria other than the video must contain the animal being shown with up to a 2 minute clip and/or photograph to be judged during the show stream
Above all the goal of this show is to showcase the American pitbull terrier and it’s best light. No registry is required for you to compete in the show however, your dog should appear as a true American Pitbull terrier. This means that we are using the criteria listed by the ADBA prior basis of colors, size and attributes to identify the dog. At Samurai Kennel’s we are aware the many dogs may have fallen out of the registry due to unfortunate events. However, all dogs entered would be great candidate to be registered with BBF registry or ICDR.
This sample will help you organize your video!
